Pakistan opener Shan Masood nominated for PCA Player of the Month

Shan Masood has been impeccable in the ongoing County Cricket Championship with the bat. The top-order batter from the Derbyshire Cricket happens to be one of the sensations in the English tournament. Currently, Derbyshire stands second in the Division Two points table by winning one match and ending three games with a draw.

With the team under the coaching of Mickey Arthur, Shan Masood's performance acts as an icing to the cake. He has been a pivotal player behind Derbyshire's strong start to the season.

Masood has harnessed a commendable 713 runs off just six innings, with an astonishing average of 118.83. He has also added two double-centuries to his hat against Sussex and Leicestershire. As a result of his sensational form, Masood has been nominated for the Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA) Player of the Month award.

Along with Masood, top-notch players like Ben Crompton (Kent), Keith Barker (Hampshire) and Harry Brook (Yorkshire) are on the list as well.

Currently, the batter from Pakistan leads the MVP leaderboard with 130.01 points.

Based on the player's performance with the bat or ball, the MVP points are curated accordingly.

The MVP title competition will be happening throughout the County Cricket tournament period, and the winners will be announced for each division. Also, they would declare the overall winner across all the formats.
