Pakistan has leapfrogged India in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table and moved to number three after winning their first match against Sri Lanka at Galle.
They now have a win-loss percentage of 58.33 as opposed to India’s 52.08, with four wins, two losses, and three draws.
Sri Lanka, however, slipped from third place to number six in the table below fifth-placed West Indies (50) with 48.15 percent.
Australia tops the charts with 71.43, and South Africa occupies the second spot with 70.

Way forward for Pakistan and Sri Lanka
Pakistan can solidify their position in third place if they win the second match, while a loss will witness them drop back to the fifth position again.
Sri Lanka will look to level the series by winning the second Test and thus improve their standing. A win would see them jump to number three on the table.
Race to WTC 2025 final
The top three could witness a reshuffle in the coming days, with South Africa playing England in a three-Test series.
A clean sweep against England will see the Proteas go top, while a 0-3 loss will see them slip to third.
