The International Cricket Council (ICC) after naming ODI and T20I Teams Of The Year 2023, finally revealed the Test XI, which is dominated by Australia.

The Test Team Of The Year 2023 is being captained by Pat Cummins, who won Australia its maiden World Test Championship title last year and sees fellow teammates like Usman Khawaja, Alex Carey, Travis Head, and Mitchell Starc in the XI.

Only two Indians make it into the Test side for 2023, i.e. all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja

Sri Lankan Test skipper Dimuth Karunaratne, New Zealand red-ball captain Kane Williamson, England's former captain Joe Root, and ex-international Stuart Board complete the remaining side.

Khawaja, slammed 1,210 runs in 13 Tests, while Karunaratne recorded 608 runs, making the duo the perfect opening pair.

The middle order sees the ever-consistent Williamson, and Root, who had stellar runs in Tests last year, which also sees the latter nominated for the Test Player Of The Year Award.

Australia's hero in WTC Final 2023, Travis Head is given in the XI, given his contributions to Australia's success this year with 919 runs, along with wicketkeeper Alex Carey, who plucked 54 dismissals in 12 matches.

The spinning duties will be taken care of by Ashwin and Jadeja, who apart from dishing out performances with the ball, are also known for lending their hand with the bat. Ashwin like Head, is nominated for ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year as well.

Cummins has had an extraordinary 2023 and has undoubtedly emerged as the leader of the year, having been nominated for the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.

Starc and Broad provide Cummins aggressive bowling options, who have had made the most impact for their respective sides, claiming 38 apiece.
