India Cements Vice Chairman and Managing Director, N Srinivasan confirmed that MS Dhoni will be going nowhere from Chennai Super Kings anytime soon. In the post-match presentation of the IPL Final, Dhoni had said that since two new teams are being introduced and hence BCCI would be deciding what he would be doing next year, but he surely was going to be there at IPL.
But this statement by Srinivasan, whose company India Cements’ subsidiary Chennai Super Kings Pvt. Ltd. holds the ownership of CSK, now confirms that the four-time IPL winning captain will be staying at the yellow den.
"Dhoni is part and parcel of CSK, Chennai and Tamil Nadu. There is no CSK without Dhoni and there is no Dhoni without CSK," Srinivasan told reporters during a brief interaction after visiting Lord Venkatachalapathy temple here with the IPL trophy.
Talking about the celebration of the record fourth IPL title, Srinivasan said that MS Dhoni would come to Chennai after his mentorship role at the World Cup and ‘share the trophy with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin at a function proposed to be organized at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.'
