Swashbuckling batter Nicholas Pooran has shared a post on his Instagram handle, as a response to India stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya's challenge. Pandya, who led the team in the five-match T20I series, was hit for two consecutive sixes by Pooran in the fifth and final T20I in Florida.

For the uninitiated, Pandya challenged Pooran to hit him for a couple of sixes during the third T20I match which India won. The former West Indian skipper obliged with it and smashed Pandya for two sixes and silenced the Indian crowd.

Here's what Pandya said after 3rd T20I

"If Nicky [Nicholas Pooran] wants to hit, let him hit me and that was the plan, I enjoy such competition," the all-rounder had said.

He even went on to predict that Pooran would go all guns blazing against him in the fourth T20I. But it was during the series decider when Pooran went all guns blazing against Pandya. Pooran smashed Pandya for two consecutive sixes at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.

Apart from a half century by Suryakumar Yadav, none of the other Indian batsmen were able to contribute much with the bat as the visitors were able to score only 165 batting first. In reply, the hosts chased down the target in 18 overs, with a brilliant performance from Player of the Series, Nicholas Pooran, and opener Brandon King.

West Indies won the series 3-2, a result which broke India’s streak of remaining unbeaten in 12 T20I series. This is also West Indies' first series win over India since 2017.
