MLC 2023: Texas Super Kings Rope In Stephen Fleming As Head Coach

In a latest development, the Texas Super Kings- the sister franchise of IPL giants Chennai Super Kings- have roped in a blockbuster coaching staff that helped CSK win their 5th title earlier this year.

5-time IPL-winning coach and former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming has been roped in as the head coach, with the likes of Eric Simmons and former Proteas and CSK all-rounder, Albie Morkel as his assistants.

Russell Radakrishnan, who has been managing the Chennai Super Kings' for years, has been appointed as the manager of TSK.

In addition to this, Tommy Simsek will work as the team's physiotherapist, while Lakshmi Narayanan will work as the High-Performance Specialists. The appointments were made public by the social media accounts of the Texas Super Kings' on Thursday, June 15.

For the uninitiated, the franchise has roped in former and current CSK players in the form of  Faf du Plessis, Devon Conway, David Miller, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, Mitchell Santner, Daneil Sams and Gerald Coetzee for the inaugural season.

The inaugural season of the Major Cricket League (MLC) will commence on July 13, with the Super Kings locking horns with the Shah Rukh Khan-co-owned, Los Angeles Knight Riders on July 13.
