Shaw Unsold in IPL 2025: What Went Wrong?

Prithvi Shaw’s career was going through a rough patch in the past few years. The batters struggled with his form and batting techniques. In the last two editions of the IPL, he played 8 matches for Delhi Capitals and scored 106 and 198 runs. He was dropped from several games in both seasons due to inconsistency. Before stepping into the IPL auction, the Delhi Capitals didn’t retain him.

He entered into the auction with a base price of 75 lakhs. In the first round of auction, he remained unsold as no franchises showed any interest in him. Even in the second round, nothing changed at all. He failed to attract a single bid. After being unsold in both rounds, he will remain out of the IPL 2025. It must be a massive setback for the youngster but things can change in the future with his hard work and passion.
