Indian wicket-keeper batsman attracted a big bidding war on Saturday, 11 February with Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians going for the young left-hander.
It was expected that along with Kishan, World Cup winner Matthew Wade would also attract big bids but the Australian went unsold at his base price.
Kishan is an established top-order batter who is known for his belligerent starts in the top order. Sunrisers Hyderabad snooped in at Rs 13 crore and engaged in a bidding war with Mumbai Indians - Kishan's former team.
At the end, Mumbai Indians came up victorious at Rs 15.25 crore making Kishan one of the highest-paid players ever in the IPL.
