The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is back on track after being temporarily halted. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the remaining matches will take place across six venues, starting from May 17 and wrapping up with the final on June 3.

The IPL was paused earlier, but after the Indian and Pakistan governments agreed to a ceasefire, the BCCI decided it was safe to continue. After discussing the situation with the central government, they confirmed that the tournament could proceed.

There are still 17 matches left to play, including two double-headers scheduled for two Sundays. 

Who Holds The IPL Orange and Purple Caps?

As IPL 2025 restarts, let's see who’s leading the charts for the most runs (Orange Cap) and the most wickets (Purple Cap).

IPL 2025 Orange Cap

This cap is given to the player who scores the most runs in the tournament. Currently, Mumbai Indians' star batter Suryakumar Yadav is at the top with 510 runs from 12 matches. Close behind him is Sai Sudharsan from Gujarat Titans, just one run short with 509 runs from 11 innings.

IPL 2025 Purple Cap

This cap goes to the player with the most wickets. At the moment, Prasidh Krishna from Gujarat Titans and Noor Ahmad from Chennai Super Kings are tied at the top, each taking 20 wickets.
