IPL 2022 | PBKS vs RR | Fantasy Tips

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is slowly approaching the business end of the season as teams wrestle against each other to consolidate their spot in the playoffs.

The ‘Match 52’ of the tournament will see the mighty Rajasthan Royals (RR) lock horns against Punjab Kings (PBKS) to move one step ahead to secure their position amongst the top four teams on the leaderboard.

After a lot of meticulous planning and consideration, we have put together a list of names that could provide you with some substantial benefit in the fantasy contests tonight.

Power play:

Shikhar Dhawan: Shikhar Dhawan has been the most consistent batter for the PBKS this season, with the most number of runs for the franchise so far. Dhawan will have a big challenge on his hand, faring against the solid bowling unit posed by the Royals.

Jos Buttler: Jos Buttler is just a century away from establishing history and has been in subliminal form this season with the fireworks he has produced with his bat so far. The Orange cap holder could be looking for his fourth ton tonight.

Trent Boult: Trent Boult has been stunning with the new ball in his hands and will look to cripple the opposition’s top order. Boult has provided RR with a good start in the powerplay and could play a crucial role in tonight’s contest.

Middle Overs:

Yuzvendra Chahal: The Purple Cap holder has been in terrific form this season. While the last few matches haven’t gone according to his liking, Chahal will be looking for an opportunity to make a strong comeback against Punjab.

Sanju Samson: The RR skipper has played some crucial cameos with the bat this season. While his performances have been shadowed by the likes of Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer, Samson has played with a staggering strike rate of 153, which is commendable for a player in the middle overs.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa: The Sri Lankan batter has undoubtedly justified his selection in the squad with some commendable knocks this season. The player has scored 174 runs with the bat so far in six games and will look for a big knock tonight.

Death Overs:

Kagiso Rabada: The South African superstar has been on fire this season in the league, with seventeen wickets to his name in nine outings. Rabada has the opportunity to move past Chahal in the Purple Cap standings tonight, and it’s undoubtedly a chance the pacer will like to capitalise.

Liam Livingstone: The English all-rounder has undoubtedly justified his enormous price tag this season with his performances with the bat. The player has scored 293 runs in ten games with a strike rate above 185 and has proved to be the biggest bane for the bowlers in the death overs.

Shimron Hetmyer: The power hitter from West Indies has gone through his ups and downs this season with some disappointing performances in the past few games. However, there is no avoiding the fact that once Hetmyer gets going, the only way you’re stopping him is at the end of the designated twenty overs.
