USA seamer Ali Khan has been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2020 due to an injury. Khan came into the side as a replacement for injured Harry Gurney.
"Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders signed up Ali Khan as a replacement for injured Harry Gurney. Khan became the first USA cricketer to be signed up by an IPL franchise. Unfortunately, Khan has since been injured and will miss the rest of the IPL 2020 season," an official IPL statement said.
Khan became the first cricketer from the USA to be a part of an IPL franchise. He was a part of the victorious CPL side Trinbago Knight Riders. The pacer scalped eight wickets in as many games at an economy of 7.43. TKR have four titles to their name in CPL.
Dinesh Karthik’s side are currently at the fourth position with four points. They will take on Chennai Super Kings tonight. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Mitchell Marsh to an injury which opened the doors for Jason Holder. The Hyderabad franchise has lost the service of Bhuvneshwar Kumar as well. Kumar was earlier ruled out due to a hip injury.
