The Delhi Capitals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to lock horns in the second qualifier of the Indian Premier League to secure a berth in the final of the ongoing edition. The Capitals were looking in great form in the initial phase of the tournament before the season started to go all wrong for the side and now they are staring at getting knocked out from the team if things don’t change against the Sunrisers.
Sunrisers will start the game as a favourite on the basis of the form and momentum that the team is in but the pressure of a big game and the flamboyance in the Capitals line-up would not be so easy for them to cross over.
Historically, the Sunriders hold an edge over the Capitals with a lead of 11-6 in the past seasons of the IPL. In the ongoing season, the Sunrisers proved to be a speed breaker for the side and defeated them on both occasions they met.
In terms of players’ performances against each other across all seasons of the IPL, Rishabh Pant is at the top of the run-getter list among Capitals’ batsmen against the Sunrisers with 392 runs while captain David Warner leads the chart among SRH batsmen with a total run tally of 440 runs.
In the bowling department, Kagiso Rabada holds the top position for the Capitals as the leading wicket-taker against the Sunrisers while for men in orange, Rashid Khan has been the leader of the attack with 12 wickets against Capitals across seasons.
