Some good news is on the way for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans ahead of the all-important clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as their star bowler Deepak Chahar was seen training with the team on Thursday after walking off after just bowling two balls against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on May 1 in Chennai.

The pacer had already missed two games earlier in the season, before coming back and getting injured again against the Punjab King. The news of him bowling in the nets has been a huge relief for the Super Kings camp as they have already been suffering with a depleted squad with most of their starting pacers out ahead of a do-or-die match against RCB.

Chahar returns back!

They face the Royal Challengers on Saturday afternoon. The match will be a deciding factor for the fourth team in the playoffs after Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad already booked their spots.

Sri Lanka's Matheesha Pathirana and Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman have joined their national teams ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and Caribbean.

In the absence of the aforementioned three frontline pacers, CSK has tried different combinations with Simarjeet Singh, Richard Gleeson and Mitchell Santner in the mix alongside Tushar Deshpande and Shardul Thakur.

In their final match against RCB, their win will take them straight to the playoffs whereas a loss will make the net run rate as a deciding factor. So, the visitors will be hoping that their star pacer returns to match fitness before the match day.
