Indian T20I captain Harmenpreet Kaur has been named in the Women’s Big Bash League’s official team of the tournament. She is the only Indian player to secure a place in the team that includes the likes of Sophie Devine and Tahlia McGrath.
Kaur, who represented Melbourne Renegades in the 5th edition of the league notched up 399 runs at an incredible average of 66.50. She hit the ball at a strike rate of 135.25 and scored three 50s. The Indian captain fared well with the ball as well, picking up 15 wickets from 12 matches.
Renegades finished the group only second to Perth Scorchers in the table with 18 points from 14 matches. They are scheduled to play the winners of Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers.
