Williamson has skipped the T20I series vs Pakistan [X]

New Zealand's upcoming T20I series against Pakistan is set to be a crucial stepping stone ahead of the T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies in June. However, the Kiwis will face this challenge with a depleted squad, as fast bowler Adam Milne and opening batter Finn Allen have been ruled out due to injuries.

Many important Kiwi players such as Kane Williamson, Daryll Mitchell, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, and Mitchell Santner won't be playing in the series because they're busy with the IPL.

Michael Bracewell is stepping in as captain since Kane Williamson won't be playing the series. Bracewell is returning to the Kiwi team directly as captain after a lengthy injury layoff.

Pakistani fans disappointed on Williamson choosing IPL over national duty

Pakistan cricket fans express disappointment as New Zealand players prioritize IPL over national team commitments. Numerous Pakistan fans have criticised NZ players like Kane Williamson for opting out of their national team duties.

The 5-match series kicks off on April 18th in Rawalpindi, with the first three games scheduled to be held there. The series will then move to Lahore for the final two matches.  om Blundell and Zac Faulks have been included as replacements for  Adam Milne and Fin Allen.
