On Friday, April 11, the 10th edition of Pakistan Super League will kickstart with Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars in the curtain raiser match of the tournament. For the first time, PSL will overlap with IPL as the tournament was delayed by two months than its usual window because of Champions Trophy in February.
Meanwhile, the excitement is also growing for the PSL, and there are several doubts regarding the league that the fans are looking answers for. One of the most popped-up questions is the number of overseas players allowed in the playing XI and are the rules same as the ones adopted by IPL.
How Many Overseas Players Are Allowed In A PSL Match?
It is worth noting that every league has their different rule, and PSL too follow the same. Notably, in the PSL, a team is allowed to have a maximum of four overseas players in a line-up.
However, unlike IPL, there is also a cap on minimum overseas players in a line-up. Notably, a team need to have at least 2 foreign stars in the team. However, in the IPL, there is no minimum cap on overseas players as a team can also field 11 local players in IPL.
