Harshal Patel Replaces Kedar Jadhav as an Impact Player against DC

Harshal Patel has been RCB's designated death bowler from the last few seasons but has not been at his best in IPL 2023. However, he is still a quality bowler and in the game against DC, the 50th game of IPL 2023, he has been brought in as an Impact Player in place of Kedar Jadhav.

The Impact player move from RCB happened at the start of the 8th over and Harshal Patel immediately made an impact as he got the big wicket of Mitchell Marsh in his first over. It was the 11th over of the game and Mitchell Marsh and Salt were going great guns in that partnership. However, the smiles were short-lived for RCB fans as Rossouw came out all guns blazing and DC continued their onslaught with RCB bowlers looking clueless in the middle.

Harshal Patel, in fact was taken for 24 runs in his second over and at the time of writing, DC just need 23 runs from 36 balls. The target is 182 in front of them and it was considered to be quite stiff but it looks like a cakewalk for DC now. Salt is batting on 82 off 41 balls while Rossouw is batting on 21 off 12 balls.
