On Sunday, 24th of March, Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will clash in Ahmedabad, marking their first meeting since Hardik Pandya changed teams. During training, players from both sides shared hugs, showing that friendship remains strong despite the rivalry.

The Gujarat Titans have indeed showcased exceptional performance since their inception in the IPL. Surprisingly, despite Mumbai Indians' underwhelming performances in recent seasons, they have managed to maintain a decent record against Gujarat.

Over the past two seasons, Hardik Pandya's leadership led the Gujarat Titans to victory in one IPL title and secured a finals appearance in another.

However, Hardik's transition to the Mumbai Indians has transformed his former teammates into opponents. The training session at Ahmedabad served as a 'homecoming' moment for Hardik, offering a chance to reunite with his old comrades.

Despite donning the colors of the opposition, the sense of homecoming undoubtedly lingered, underscoring the deep bonds forged during his time with the Gujarat franchise.

During training, Hardik Pandya hugged his former teammate Tewatia warmly, showing their strong bond. Tewatia looked genuinely happy to see his ex-captain. Ishan Kishan, known for his energy, ran to hug his friend Shubman Gill, now the Gujarat captain

The touching moment arrived when Indian captain Rohit Sharma shared a bat tap and exchanged words with Gill, his opening partner in the national team.

Shubman Gill chatted with MI's Bumrah, while Hardik Pandya shared a warm moment with Jayant Yadav, his former teammate from both Mumbai and Gujarat.

This IPL season marks the beginning of a new era for Mumbai Indians, with Hardik Pandya leading the team as captain for the first time. They kick off their campaign with an away game against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Interestingly, this match also signifies a significant milestone as it's the first time in a decade that Rohit Sharma will take the field for Mumbai Indians without the captain's armband.
