Hardik Pandya Crosses Another Landmark; Departs after a Brisk Cameo

Hardik Pandya, the skipper of Gujarat Titans reached another milestone in his illustrious IPL career as he crossed 2000 IPL runs against RR in game 23 of IPL 2023. He got to that milestone in the 8th over against RR when he managed to hit a boundary against R Ashwin in the fourth ball of the over.

Pandya reached that landmark in his 111th game and it shows the quality of the man as he has batted in the lower middle order for the most part of his IPL career. He made his name in the IPL by playing some breathtaking knocks for MI in the initial part of his career and quickly rosed through the ranks to become one of the mainstays in the Indian team.

Hardik Pandya 2.0 was unleashed in the 2022 season of the IPL as he led Gujarat Titans to an IPL title in just their inaugural season. He has been pretty impressive with the ball as well in the IPL and has taken 50 wickets with the ball. He has started to take more responsibility with the bat for GT from the last season, batting at number 4. In the ongoing game against RR, he came into bat at number 4 again and got off to a flier. However, he departed in the 11th over on a score of 28 off 19 balls and at the time of writing, GT are 94-3 at the end of 11 overs. Currently Gill and Miller are batting in the middle with the Indian batting on 37 off 23 balls and Miller batting on 2 of 2 balls.

GT would be looking to post something close to 200 as RR have a strong batting line-up and we surely have an interesting game on the cards.
