In a great move, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has hogged the limelight for a lovely gesture towards Indian armed forces. Notably, to honour the contribution of the armed forces in the recent tensions against Pakistan, CAB put a big banner outside the Eden Gardens stadium, saluting the efforts of our soldiers.

Notably, the IPL is on a break as tensions escalated between India and Pakistan on May 8, which led to a one week break. However, the two countries recently announced a ceasefire, which resulted in reports mentioning that the league might resume on May 16.

Amid the ongoing break, the CAB put a banner outside the ground, which read, "In Strength, Solidarity, and Gratitude. We are grateful, we are proud, we salute our heroes. "

Meanwhile, CAB president also expressed his gratitude towards the Indian armed forces. "We are extremely proud of our armed forces. They are providing us with security and that is why we are living in peace," he remarked.

IPL 2025 Likely To Move Out Of Kolkata

While the IPL is set to resume in a few days, there were reports that the final might move out of Kolkata because of rain threat.

"The final is likely to be played on June 1 instead of May 25. The venue of the final was Kolkata, but with rain forecasted in the capital of West Bengal on June 1, the finale might be shifted to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad," read the report.

So far, no decision has been taken by the IPL governing body, but the league is set to resume on May 16 and the final may take place on May 30 or June 1.
