Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has hit a fresh setback as chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been accused of corruption over Pakistan's Asia Cup jerseys. Notably, former Pakistan cricketer Atiq-uz-Zaman has accused the PCB chairman of approving low-quality jerseys for the Men in Green.
Notably, Atiq-uz-Zaman took to Twitter, where he pointed out that Pakistan players were sweating profusely during their games despite the PCB promising dry-fit kits. He also compared Pakistan players with other teams, who didn't even have a drop of sweat on their shirts because of high-quality products.
"Pakistan players are sweating through low-quality kits while others wear proper dry-fits. This is what happens when tenders go to friends, not professionals. Corruption dripping more than the sweat," wrote the former cricketer on his Twitter account.
What Are Dry-Fit Kits?
Dry-fit kits in cricket refer to cricket clothing made from advanced moisture-wicking fabrics designed to keep players cool, dry, and comfortable during play. These fabrics actively draw sweat away from the skin to the fabric's surface, where it can evaporate quickly, preventing heaviness and clamminess.
Typically made of lightweight, breathable materials like polyester, dry-fit kits allow better airflow and ventilation, often enhanced by mesh panels in key areas, ensuring players stay comfortable even in hot conditions. It also helps the players from excessive sweating.
