India star batter Virat Kohli has long been cherished by cricket fans worldwide, including in Pakistan, a nation with which India shares a storied and intense cricket rivalry. Kohli’s exceptional skills on the field and his sportsmanship have won him admirers far beyond Indian shores, and Pakistan is no exception.

Recently, a striking moment in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup 2024 in Faisalabad made headlines when a fan proudly waved Kohli’s iconic number 18 jersey during a match between Stallions vs Markhors at Iqbal Stadium. This gesture captured widespread attention since the match featured Babar Azam, who was playing for Stallions.

As the match progressed, a heartwarming scene unfolded when a fan hoisted Virat Kohli's jersey with his name printed on the back. The picture of this moment quickly went viral on social media, symbolizing the deep respect and admiration cricket fans in Pakistan have for the Indian legend.

Virat Kohli To Make Test Comeback Vs Bangladesh

While Virat Kohli’s jersey was waved in Faisalabad, the Indian cricket star was gearing up for his return to Test cricket. After leading India to victory in the T20 World Cup in June, Kohli has mostly been based in London, making brief trips back for a limited-overs series against Sri Lanka.

His decision to step away from T20Is and his absence from recent Test matches, including the series against England earlier this year due to personal reasons, have only heightened the anticipation surrounding his comeback.

Following a short break after the Sri Lanka ODI series, Virat Kohli is set to return to action in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

This series will mark his first Test appearance on home soil in 18 months, his last outing in India being in March 2023 against Australia, where the 35-year-old batter amassed 296 runs in the four-match series, including a century.
