Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are bringing out mystery bowlers from their dugout. First it was Zeeshan Ansari who dominated the proceedings against the Delhi Capitals, and now, they have unleashed Eshan Malinga, the wily pacer in the IPL 2025 clash Vs Punjab Kings.

Eshan Malinga IPL Price: How much was the Sri Lankan pacer bought for?

SRH spent heavily on their batting during the IPL mega auction since that was their strength last season. However, they did invest in some quality bowlers and one of them was Eshan Malinga who was bought for INR 1.20 crore. He is a brilliant death bowler and for this sole purpose SRH and Kavya Maran bough the pacer.

SRH had plethora of batters but they needed someone who could deliver at the death, and Malinga was the right fit for them and hence this much money was splashed on the Sri Lankan star. He started his IPL journey by taking a wicket of Prabhsimran Singh.

SRH need momentum after 4 losses

SRH started off with a terrific win over Rajasthan Royals, but then the momentum slipped as they lost 4 matches in a row and will be eager to win the contest against a rampant PBKS side.

In the ongoing contest, Punjab Kings started off on a rampant mode as the openers added 66 runs in no time and then Shreyas Iyer continued the momentum as he scored a brilliant fifty to keep PBKS's big total hopes alive.
