Andre Russell is yet to light up Kolkata Knight Riders’ title-defence campaign this IPL 2025 season, at least with the bat. The seasoned T20 campaigner has so far managed to accrue just 10 runs from three innings at a meagre average of 3.33.

Russell will now turn up for the KKR in their upcoming home game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, April 8 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The West Indies cricketer will surely be aiming to put his dismal campaign back on the right track as KKR bids to climb higher on the points table this season. Ahead of KKR’s upcoming match against the visiting LSG group, here is a look at all the records Andre Russell can achieve through the much-awaited contest.

1. On The Verge Of 600 T20 Fours

Andre Russell is just five boundaries away from completing 600 fours in T20 cricket. On the verge of turning 37, the legendary T20 cricketer has so far recorded 595 fours from 468 innings spanning 542 T20 matches. Russell also has 733 sixes to his name to be ranked among the leading six-hitters in the history of the format.

2. Set To Join Gambhir For Huge Record

Andre Russell made his Kolkata Knight Riders debut back during the 2014 edition of the IPL. The cricketer has since played 124 IPL games for the franchise, tallying 2,436 runs in the process in 102 innings.

At the moment, the blistering middle-order batter needs just 64 more runs to complete 2,500 runs for KKR in IPL cricket. In doing so, he will join former captain Gautam Gambhir (3,035 runs in 108 innings) as one of only two cricketers to scale the landmark figure for the franchise.

3. Just A Hit Away From 2,500 IPL Runs

Andre Russell, who made his IPL debut back in 2012 for the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), is currently sitting on a pile of 2,494 runs in IPL from 108 innings at an average of 28.34 and a staggering batting strike rate of 173.67.

The broad-shouldered middle-order batter has recorded 11 half-centuries in the process for two different teams, the Capitals and the KKR. As of now, he just needs just six more runs to complete 2,500 runs in IPL.
