MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings’ stalwart and skipper, has sparked admiration off the field after a video of him boarding a flight went viral. While many criticized him for not posting on social media amid the India-Pakistan war tension as his contemporaries did, Lieutenant Colonel MS Dhoni managed to hit back at the critics with his unique 'T-shirt game'.

Dhoni Silences Doubters With Patriotic Message

The clip circulated by a Dhoni fan page on social media spotlighted his T-shirt emblazoned with “Duty, Honour, Country” in the backdrop of a solid black outfit - a message resonating amid ongoing border tensions.

Dhoni was spotted boarding a flight in the video and the caption from the Twitter handle stated, "Exclusive Video of MS Dhoni from Chennai," which means the former India cricketer was on his way home departing from the Chennai camp. Later the same account posted Dhoni reaching Ranchi.

MS Dhoni, who reclaimed captaincy mid-season following Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury, has seen CSK struggle in IPL 2025, languishing at the bottom with six points from 12 games. The team’s playoff hopes are dashed, with two inconsequential matches remaining.

The Uncertainty Of IPL 2025 After Ceasefire Violation

The league itself faces uncertainty after its suspension due to military escalations between India and Pakistan. While a ceasefire has revived plans to resume fixtures, logistical hurdles may force matches into limited venues like Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.

An IPL official told PTI, “The restart could kick off with the postponed LSG vs RCB clash in Lucknow.” Teams such as Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians risk losing home-game advantages if the reduced venue plan proceeds.

The league’s official return now hinges on central government clearance, leaving fans in limbo as Dhoni’s storied leadership approaches a subdued farewell.
