Lord Rama's Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place in Ayodhya yesterday, and numerous high-profile personalities graced the event with their presence. However, the curious case of Virat Kohli's attendance caught the fans' attention. Did Kohli actually attend the grand event?

Ahead of the highly anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Rama, several celebrities and business tycoons from across the country assembled in Ayodhya. The Indian government handed out exclusive invites to a handful of high-profile names to witness history in the making.

While the event saw the arrival of several celebrities from the acting and business industry, Ravindra Jadeja, Anil Kumble, and Sachin Tendulkar were a few of the cricket personalities spotted at the venue.

Virat Kohli also received the invite. However, his absence stirred up chaos on the internet. A photo of Kohli in a black kurta has been doing the rounds, claiming that the batter did attend the Ayodhya event.

However, the photos shared are not new. They were clicked when Kohli attended a close friend's Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai last year.

Another rumour saw Virat Kohli leaving for Ayodhya City. However, as per speculations, the batter didn't make it as he had to cut short his trip due to a family emergency.

Later in the day, BCCI announced Kohli's decision to withdraw from the first half of the upcoming Test series against England, citing personal reasons.

While the board refused to share more details, they supported Virat Kohli during this tough time.

Thus, it's highly possible the same family emergency kept him away from the event in Ayodhya. That being said, the details of the personal matter are yet unknown.

Regardless, the only thing that matters is that Virat Kohli for sure did not attend the pran partishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. The pictures doing rounds on social media are false and outdated per se.
