Veteran South African finisher David Miller has quashed all the reports regarding his T20I retirement after falling short in the last-over thriller against India in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados on June 29.

Miller had shared an emotional Instagram story after failing to take South Africa over the line, brewing conversations about his retirement from the shortest format of the game.

In the emotionally written story, Miller, while expressing his feelings for the first time after the loss, wrote about his disappointment at not winning the final after an incredible campaign.

Despite no mention of any retirement plans in the story, the fans and media started speculating about him leaving T20Is and the reports started spreading all over social media.

The 35-year-old subsequently posted another story where he denied any claims of his retirement. His post read,

"Contrary to some reports, I have not retired from T20 international cricket. I will continue to be available to play for the Proteas. The best is yet to come."

Like always, the Protea finisher played a crucial role in South Africa's road to the final. He ended the tournament with 169 runs, scoring difficult runs throughout in tough batting conditions.
