Cheteshwar Pujara feels a win at Edgbaston will be one of India's best wins

Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara feels that if team India wins the 5th and final Test match against England, it will be one of the best wins for the nation. India drew the 1st Test before winning two of the next three and led the series 2-1 before the final match was forced to be rescheduled after the COVID-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.

Speaking to BCCI TV, Cheteshwar Pujara said that everyone in the team is looking forward to the game and that if the team replicates its performance it can win the game and series.

"I think the most important thing is we have a good bunch of players. We have quality fast bowlers. So the way the guys did in the last four matches here, I am sure they are eager to do the same thing again. If we can win this particular Test and win this series on English soil, I think it will probably be one of the best victories for India. All of us are looking forward to this Test match."

However, this match will not be the same in terms of leadership for India. Virat Kohli has relinquished captaincy, with Rohit Sharma now leading the team, while Rahul Dravid has taken over as the coach after Ravi Shastri's exit.

For England, too, there is a change in both captaincy as well as the coaching department. Ben Stokes has taken over the captaincy from Joe Root, while Brendon McCullum has become the coach replacing Chris Silverwood.

Cheteshwar Pujara feels that this will be a good challenge for the team, and that the team needs to regroup itself and play to its potential just like it did in the previous four matches and if it does so, they can replicate the success.

"I think it's a good challenge for us, yes, we are 2-1 ahead in the series, but at the same time, this is the most important Test match of the series.

And as you mentioned, it is after a long time. So we just need to regroup. We just need to understand our strengths. The good part for us is we are here early. So there is plenty of time to prepare for all the players.

And yeah, if we play to our potential, if we stick to our strengths, understand what we need as a team and what has given us success in those four Test matches which we played here, we just need to repeat those things," Pujara added.

He, however, added that the team will need to prepare itself as England too have undergone changes in its team and the way they play and that the team needs to have a strategy in place for the same.

"But at the same time, there are some changes in the England squad. So we need to understand their strength and then try and have a strategy - I'm sure the support staff and management will talk about strategy later. But we need to plan it well for this particular Test match," Pujara concluded.

The England vs India 5th Test will be played from July 1-5 at Edgbaston.
