The Indian team, which created history by winning their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados by defeating South Africa, will return home tomorrow evening to New Delhi. Huge celebrations will follow as the World Cup heroes reach home.

It's not been even a year since India faced one of their most demoralising defeats in history. After going 10 straight games unbeaten, India lost the ODI World Cup final against Australia in Ahmedabad.

 It’s difficult for fans to forget November 19, 2023, but imagine being the players who lived through those moments, watching Australia win the World Cup final in India when India were the favorites.

When everyone thought it was over, when everyone believed Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid had missed the biggest opportunity to bring glory to the nation, the Indian players, even before the ODI World Cup tragedy's anniversary, made a redemption and won the T20 World Cup.

Rahul Dravid stepped down from coaching but managed to win the silverware he couldn’t as a player, an ICC trophy. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both retired after winning the title. 

Rohit Sharma, who wanted to win something big for the country, accomplished his dream. This was Virat Kohli's first T20 World Cup trophy, a missing piece in his illustrious career, and he won it. 

Kohli, the all-time top scorer in T20 World Cups, deserved this win and did it in style by being named the Player of the Match in the final.
