On Friday, May 9, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium. It is a crucial match for both teams as a defeat for LSG would see them crash out of the tournament, while the Rajat Patidar-led side will look to go on top of the table with a win.

Ahead of the crucial match, the three-times finalists have received a major boost as Josh Hazlewood, who is RCB's leading wicket-taker in this season, is all set to return to the playing XI against LSG. Notably, Hazlewood missed out on crucial clash against CSK, where it was reported that he had a shoulder injury. The management did not provide a timeline on his return, but a report from Business Standard mentioned that Hazlewood will return to the side for LSG match.

Notably, Hazlewood has taken 18 wickets in 10 innings, with an economy of 8.44. Meanwhile, Lungi Ngidi, who replaced Hazlewood against CSK and took three wickets, is likely to sit out for the LSG match.

RCB Make More Changes Ahead Of LSG Match

In a significant development, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have dealt a heavy blow as their star batter Devdutt Padikkal has been ruled out of IPL 2025. Notably, Padikkal will miss the remainder of the season because of a right-hamstring injury and he has been replaced by Mayank Agarwal.

Mayank Agarwal has been roped in by RCB for 1 crore. Talking about Padikkal, he has had a brilliant season as he scored 247 runs with the help of two half-centuries. Devdutt played several match winning knock and also earned Virat Kohli's praise for his contribution.
