The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the Annual Central Contracts for the Indian men’s cricket team for the 2024-25 season. This announcement reaffirms the hierarchy of players based on their performances, experience, and contributions to the national team.

The contracts categorise players into four grades - A+, A, B, and C, each with corresponding retainer fees and benefits that reflect their standing in Indian cricket. Here is a breakdown of the salaries for all 34 players who received contracts based on their grades.

At the top of the hierarchy, the Grade A+ category features four key players- Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja. These players earn the highest retainer fee of Rs. 7 crore and are considered the core pillars of the Indian team across all formats. 

The Grade A list includes six prominent players- Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, and Rishabh Pant. These players receive an annual retainer of Rs. 5 crore and have made significant impacts in recent international matches and IPL seasons.

In the Grade B category, the BCCI has placed emerging and consistent performers such as Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Axar Patel, each earning Rs. 3 crore. 

The Grade C bracket includes players like Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, and Ishan Kishan, with a retainer fee of Rs. 1 crore. These players are either on the fringes of the national team or represent young talents gradually making their mark in international cricket. 

When Will The BCCI Contract End?

The BCCI Central Contract which was released on April 21 2025 will be valid till September 30 2025 and as per BCCI's officla website, the retainership contract came into effect from October 1, 2024.
