Having lost a one-sided battle against South Africa, Bangladesh find themselves in a precarious situation. Yesterday, the Bangladesh batters were in tatters against the pace of South Africa, bundling out for a mere 101, chasing a mammoth 206.

Across both matches so far, the Bangla Tigers have been guilty of playing irresponsible cricketing shots, despite getting starts. According to Cricbuzz, batting coach Jamie Siddons explained that slogging is not the way out for his side, and the batters are better than that.

"I think a little bit of what we did a lot is trying to clear the fence. We have not been six-hitters and we need to be a lot smarter. We hit the ball in the air too much.

There was pace out there from one bowler (Nortje), the rest it looked like we were managing quite nicely when we were playing good cricket shots. Then we turned to slogging, that's not our game. We can't do that,"

Siddons further elaborated that Bangladesh batters have been unable to adjust to the Australian conditions which has hampered their campaign.

The 58-year-old also talked about team management looking at various ways of utilizing the Power Play going forward.

Bangladesh play Zimbabwe at the Gabba on Sunday.
