Although former Pakistan captain Babar Azam appears responsible on the field, a recent incident reveals moments of irresponsibility that might have embarrassed him. Notably, the star batter lost his phone and had to inform his fans about the mishap on social media. 

Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam took to Twitter (X) on February 6 at 4 PM IST to inform his acquaintances and fans about him losing his phone. The former captain shared the news with his followers, leaving many curious about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Babar took to his official social media handle to report about the mishap. He wrote, "I have lost my phone and contacts. Will get back to everyone as soon as I find it." However, Babar did not provide any further details regarding where or how the phone was lost. 

Well, it was an unfortunate event which jogs memories of the time when Babar Azam reminded Indian captain Rohit Sharma of his lost phone and accessories. Nevertheless, fans quickly responded to his post, with some offering support while others made light-hearted jokes about the situation. 

Babar slips in ICC rankings along with teammates

In addition to his personal setback, Babar Azam faced another dip, this time in the ICC player rankings. The International Cricket Council (ICC) released its latest rankings earlier today, showing that Babar, along with Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi, has slipped in the standings across formats.

Babar, who was previously ranked sixth among T20I batters, dropped to the seventh position after India’s Abhishek Sharma surged into the top ten following his stellar performances against England. Similarly, Rizwan moved down one place to ninth. Meanwhile, Australia’s Travis Head continues to hold the No. 1 ranking in T20Is.
