Haris Rauf has expressed his delight to bowl alongside talented Naseem Shah in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
The 19-year-old Shah has been a revelation for the Pakistan team since his debut. He came into this tournament with a five-wicket haul against the Netherlands, which helped Men in Green to secure a sensational victory.
Shah then displayed his fighting spirit to take 2/27 against India in the tournament opener. He followed it up by figures of 2/7 against Hong Kong as well. On the other hand, Rauf has been wicket-less but possesses the ability to run down any batting line-up.
Rauf thinks Shah makes the job easier for other bowlers, by keeping it tight with his express pace and proficient line-length.
“Bowling partnerships are very important in this format of the game and I am really enjoying bowling with the young sensation Naseem Shah. Because of his searing pace, he keeps the opponents on the backfoot, which gives edge to the other bowlers.” said Rauf.
