Another RCB Player Gets Injured; Taken off the Field

RCB's injury worry gets deepen with the latest inductee on the injury list being Reece Topley. The lanky pacer got injured during the IPL 2023 match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday.

Topley attempted to stop the ball from crossing the 30-yard circle and injured his shoulder in the process. It all happened in the 8th over of the match when Karn Sharma tossed up a delivery on the leg stump and Tilak Varma flicked it down the leg side.

Topley stranded at short fine leg ran to his left to stop the ball and as he put in a dive, he put all the weight on his right shoulder and looked in some pain after the incident. After careful examination by the team physio, Topley was taken off the field as a precautionary measure.

The commentary team later stated that Topley has dislocated his shoulder.

Talking about the match, RCB started the contest on the right note. They have already scalped 3 quick wickets, with Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green back in the pavilion.

As of writing, Mumbai Indians are tottering at 48 for 4, with Suryakumar Yadav, the latest batter to go back to the pavilion.
