After David Warner & Rashid Khan, coach Trevor Bayliss walks out of Sunrisers Hyderabad

After losing former captain David Warner and T20I player of the decade Rashid Khan, Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost the services of World Cup winning coach Trevor Bayliss.

Things are looking grim for the Hyderabad based franchise after they have chosen to build around Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik for the upcoming seasons.

Cricbuzz reported that Bayliss is now in contention for a coaching role of the new Lucknow based franchise. He will be in competition with Andy Flower, who has chosen to leave the Punjab Kings.

Under Bayliss, SRH ranked third in the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League and finished last in the 2021 season. The Australian coach is currently contracted with the Sydney Thunder as their head coach for the upcoming season.

Paras Mhambrey acknowledges Ishant's lack of rhythm, expects him to come back to best in two Tests

The new Indian team management has acknowledged that lack of workload and bowling long spells throughout the year has hurt Ishant Sharma and the tall pacer is battling for rhythm in the longest format. The Indian bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said that Ishant has not played enough games this year and the team management is doing all it can to ensure he is back and firing all cylinders as quickly as possible. However, Mhambrey highlighted that Ishant’s role in the Indian Test team is not only limited to bowling and that he has a bulk of experience of playing at the highest level which comes in handy for newcomers of the game. He said that the impact of having Ishant in the dressing room goes beyond the bowling spells he bowls on the field. “Ishant hasn’t, unfortunately, played much Test cricket for a long time and didn’t play in IPL or T20 World Cup (and) that does make a difference,” Mhambrey acknowledged. “We are working on his rhythm and we are aware of it. I am sure he needs a couple of games to get that rhythm going. He will be back for sure.” “He has got enough experience under his belt and it makes a huge difference to have him in the dressing room. With the experience that he has and any opportunity for some other bowlers to spend time with him and understand the nuances of fast bowling, is of great help,” the bowling coach outlined the senior player’s broader responsibilities. The second Test between India and New Zealand is set to begin on December 03 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Inexperienced of Ashes experience in Australia, Jos Buttler eager to embrace 'fearless' approach

Jos Buttler has not had any taste of Ashes series in Australia before and neither he is coming off from a brilliant run of form with the bat in the longest format. He was underconfident and tentative in the home Test series against India and has suffered indifferent form with the bat in the longest format. However, there is no short of determination for him and rather, he is keen to use his lack of experience to play “fearless” cricket in the Ashes series. He said that playing his brand of cricket will help him attain near best form and performance with the bat in the series. "I feel like I have nothing to lose, to be honest," he said. "It's sort of been disjointed, that [year] just gone. Some good form and some bad form and in the year before as well. It's the first time I'm experiencing an Ashes series [in Australia] so I'm fully determined to enjoy all the challenges that throw up. I'm excited to experience it, the good the bad, and I'm sure the highs and lows along the way. "As a player at the minute I'm trying to bring a fearless approach and to truly try and embrace the opportunity. I know when I get to somewhere near my best that's going to be pretty good." Buttler is key to England’s plan of succeeding in the all-important series as his aggressive game can ask the new leadership group of Australia some tough questions. He can be severe against spinners and if he can counter Nathan Lyon threat when the ball will get older, the hosts will be forced to put pressure on their pacers which eventually could complicate their workload management and team selection going deeper in the series.
