ACA chief to travel with squad in Pakistan tour

Australian Cricketers Association chief Todd Greenberg has given personal guarantee that Australian cricketers would find absolutely no problems in their tour of Pakistan.

Greenberg has gone as far as to guarantee his own presence stating that he believes it is important to be their alongside the players.

"I've made an assurance to the players that they won't go alone. If they're going to Pakistan, I'll be going with them and I think that's important. It's an opportunity to show the players that we're in this together," Greenberg told The Sydney Morning Herald.

The comments are in the backdrop of two recent pull outs by New Zealand and England from Pakistan citing security concerns right ahead of the T20 World Cup.

However, Greenberg has confirmed that the Australian Cricket Association maintains that the tour is safe for the players and the families.

"But we'll continue to take the advice of DFAT and other government organisations, as we need to be able to satisfy not just the players, but their families, that it's safe to tour."
