Virat Kohli blessed with a baby girl

India captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl on Monday, January 11 in Mumbai. Kohli had returned home after playing the first Test match in Adelaide to be with his wife who is a Bollywood superstar.’ It’s been three years since the couple tied the knot in 2017 and while Kohli has been travelling to play cricket, the couple announced their pregnancy in August last year. Kohli has been in the country and will play in the Test series against England scheduled to start early next month. He has been away from the cricket field but not away from the action as the skipper took to Twitter while confronting the case of racial abuse against pacers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.

Steve Smith caught scuffing Rishabh Pant's batting guard

Former Australia skipper Steve Smith has once again surrounded himself with controversy after he was captured removing Rishabh Pant’s batting guard from the crease. Smith has faced a lot of backlash for his gesture on the social media. The Indian team managed to draw the third Test against Australia after Rishabh Pant scored 97 while Cheteshwar Pujara struck 77. India were in a spot of bother after losing a couple of wickets in quick succession but Hanuma Vihari and R Ashwin steadied the ship for the side. Vihari scored 23* off 161 while Ashwin remained unbeaten at 128-ball 39. The four-match series is levelled at 1-1 with the last clash to take place in Brisbane.

BBL10: 7 matches re-located due to COVID-19 related restrictions

Seven matches of the Big Bash League have been relocated due to the impact of the COVID-19 on state border restrictions. The first match between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades will be played on January 14 at Manuka Oval at 7:15 pm. The Adelaide Oval will be host three matches and the fixtures include Adelaide Strikers taking on Brisbane Heat on January 21 at 6:45pm followed by Sydney Thunder against Sydney Sixers on January 22 at 6:45 pm and Adelaide Strikers locking horns with Sydney Thunder at 6:45 pm on January 25 respectively. The MCG will host the encounter between Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes on January 24 at 7:15 pm while the venue for the clash between Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers is ye to be announced. They are slated to play on January 26. The Sydney Sixers are sitting at the helm of the points table with 25 points and are followed by Thunder who are at two with 23 points to their name.
