They were without Shakib Al Hasan in the last game but he is expected to play this game. The conditions at the Wankhede Stadium are completely different from the venues Bangladesh have played until now. So they may look to bring in Taskin Ahmed instead of Nasum Ahmed. Here's Bangladesh's predicted playing XI for this game against South Africa.

1. Litton Das

Litton Das will open the innigns for Bangladesh. He is amognst the best batters in the side and has been in good touch. He scored 66 in the last game against India and 76 in the game against England. Bangladesh will expect him to get the team off to a good start.

2. Tanzid Hasan

Tanzid Hasan batted well for his 51 runs in the last game against India. The conditions at Wankhede will be great for batting and if he survives the opening burst from Marco Jansen then he can be in for a big score in this game.

3. Najmul Hossain Shanto

Shanto was in good form in the Asia Cup just ahead of the World Cup but he has failed miserably in the World Cup until now. He is a talented batter who likes to take his time before playing his shots. Shanto will be a key batter for Bangladesh and he must step-up in this game.

4. Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a utility player for his team. He will bat in the top 4 and will bowl a few overs as well. He has been in decent form with both bat and ball. The conditions at Wankhede won't suit his bowling but he will be important with the bat.

5. Shakib Al Hasan (Captain)

Shakib Al Hasan is the best player from his team. He is a proven performer with both bat and ball. He will be important with the bat in the middle order and is very wiley with the ball and can pick up a few wickets in this game.

6. Mushfiqur Rahim (WK)

Mushfiqur Rahim is the backbone of Bangladesh's batting unit. He takes control in the middle overs and plays according to the situation. Rahim has been in decent touch in this tournament. He will keep the wickets as well.

7. Mahmudullah

Mahmudullah has been in excellent form in the World Cup 2023. He bats in the lower order and has played a couple of great knocks to help his side to a good total. He bats aggressively and can take down any bowling unit on his day.

8. Taskin Ahmed

Taskin Ahmed is expected to play this game ahead of Nasum Ahmed. He bowls fast and can swing the new ball. His current form in not that great but he is the best pacer in his team and is expected to play this game.

9. Hasan Mahmud

Hasan Mahmud is another hit the deck pacer who can swing the new ball both ways. We saw plenty of assitance for the pacers in the first game at Wankhede under the lights. He will be a key bowler for Bangladesh in this game.

10. Shoriful Islam

Shoriful Islam will enjoy bowling at the Wankhede Stadium, especially in the second innings. He swings the new ball and can pick up a few wickets upfront if there is some movement on offer.

11. Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman is the most experienced pacer in Bangaldesh's squad but has been horribly out of form. The conditions won't suit him as he depends on his variations and the pitch at Wankhede will be an excellent one for batting.
