Rajasthan Royals, the only unbeaten side in IPL 2024, will look to keep their 100% winning record intact when they take on Gujarat Titans on Wednesday (April 9) in Match 23 of the ongoing edition at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.
The Sanju Samson-led side’s journey in the ongoing edition is going as smoothly as it gets. However, there has been a serious worry at the top of the unit, with Yashasvi Jaiswal not making a single 25+ score once in four outings in the competition.
Is Jaiswal going to open with Jos Buttler, as he did when Devdutt Padikkal was there in IPL 2022? The move could mean Samson will promote himself at the top of the order.
However, it is too early to make this bold decision, considering Jaiswal was in sublime form across formats for India. He might be going through a lean patch, but backing could only bring back the confidence he desperately needed.
