India have suffered a humbling defeat against Australia in the pink ball Test at Adelaide. After a brilliant show in the first game, it was disappointing for the fans to see the team submit without any fight in this game.

One of the major changes that was seen in the team composition of India was that Rohit Sharma was back at the helm after Jasprit Bumrah played the role in the first match. The defeat of India coincided with return of Rohit as the skipper and that has got the critics going against him.

While the fans are up and talking about Rohit's captaincy, they are drawing parallels with the time under MS Dhoni's captaincy when the Indian team lost a string of games in SENA countries. This brings us to the question - Who has a worse record as a Test captain between Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in Sena countries.

Under MS Dhoni, India had played 60 Test matches and had a win percentage of 45%. It remains as one of the best by an Indian captain in the purest format of the game.

Rohit Sharma Test Captaincy Record

India have played 22 Test matches under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. They have won 12 matches, which makes his winning percentage at 54.54%. This makes him the second most successful captain in Test cricket after Virat Kohli who has captained in more than 15 matches. However, his losing percentage of 36% is also one of the worst among the Indian captains.

Rohit Sharma vs MS Dhoni: Captaincy Record In SENA Countries

MS Dhoni has one of the worst winning percentages (13.04%) when it comes to playing Tests in SENA countries as a captain. His losing percentage of nearly 61% is also one of the worst.

As far as Rohit Sharma's winning percentage is concerned he has done better (25%) than MS Dhoni as a captain in SENA countries. However, when we compare the losing percentage of the two captains, Rohit Sharma's record is worse than Dhoni. 

So, the conclusion to be reached can be done in two ways at present. As far as winning percentage is concerned, MS Dhoni has a worse record than Rohit Sharma. However, the story is completely opposite when we compare the losing percentage of the two skips.
