No Phil Salt, Shreyas Iyer To Bring In 'This' Player? KKR's Probable XI For IPL 2024 Match Vs RR

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have had a phenomenal 2024 season, the home-coming of Gautam Gambhir has done absolute wonders for the entire contingent. Currently ruling the points table, KKR are sitting at the No.1 spot with 19 points thereby becoming the first team to qualify for the playoffs. In their upcoming game, they will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals, who started on a very high note however, have lost four games on the trot.

The big successes of KKR have come largely because of three reasons- the very first one being the brilliance and brains of Gautam Gambhir, the second reason is the explosive starts that the Phil Salt- Sunil Narine duo has provided time and again and lastly, the brilliance of their bowling unit. However unfortunately, the Knights will be missing the services of Phil Salt, who had to travel back to England to fulfill his international duties.

In his place the team will likely bring wicket-keeper batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz in to open alongside Sunil Narine. While he has not played a single game this season, back in 2023 he featured in a total of 11 games where he amassed 227 runs with two fifties at a strike rate of 133.53. His highest score was 81 runs.

Apart from that, the entire team looks solid and no other changes are expected to be introduced. However, for the handful of games left the team would aim to give it their all and hope to lift the coveted the IPL trophy for the third time. This includes a good knock from Rinku Singh who is yet to set the stage on fire with his remarkable performance. KKR's six-hitting maniac and finisher would look to replicate his heroics from the previous season.
