India and Bangladesh will go up against each other for the first time in the Asia Cup 2023 on Friday, September 15, at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. This will mark the end of the Super Four round of the ongoing edition, with the Men in Blue already having qualified for the ultimate finale.

In this fixture, Bangladesh, led by Shakib Al Hasan, will attempt to finish on a high note. The Tigers are the only team left out of the picture, with Pakistan and Sri Lanka still vying for a spot in the final.

India and Bangladesh have played six ODIs since September 2018. The Men in Blue have prevailed over them four times, while Bangladesh have come out on top twice—both of those victories coming at home and last year only.
